Detachable Bishop / Lantern Sleeve Add-On

This add-on pattern package covers two statement sleeve shapes, the gathered bishop sleeve with its soft fullness falling into a cuff, and the rounded lantern sleeve with its balloon-like curve. Designed as detachable sleeves for women, they are made to pair with blouses and dresses, giving a sleeveless or short-sleeved garment a completely different mood without altering the original piece.

Lightweight and fluid fabrics show both shapes at their best, so consider chiffon, georgette, voile, crepe or a soft cotton lawn where volume can collapse gracefully rather than stand stiff. Crisper cottons and taffeta hold a more sculptural lantern curve if a bolder silhouette is wanted. Wear them over a simple slip dress for an evening, layer them with a camisole blouse at the office, or keep a pair on hand for occasions when an outfit needs a little more presence.

Sizes run from XS to 5XL (XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL). The pattern is a PDF for printing at home on A4 paper, and it also includes an A0 file for printing at a copy shop. Each size is a separate file, so you print only the size you need.
